      Common questions

      Is the pest identifier free?

Yes. It is completely free and there is no sign-up. Upload a photo and you get a read straight away.

      How accurate is it?

It is very good at pointing you to the right pest from a clear photo of a common Sydney pest, its damage or its droppings. It is a first read, though, not a diagnosis. A photo cannot confirm everything, so anything that matters, especially termites or a spider you are unsure about, is confirmed on site by a licensed technician.

      What can it identify?

Household pests and the traces they leave: rats and mice, cockroaches, ants, spiders, bed bugs, fleas and wasps, along with gnaw marks, droppings and timber damage. If it cannot be sure, it tells you and points you to send the photo to our team.

      What happens to my photo?

Your photo is checked to identify the pest, not stored. It is only kept if you choose to send it to our team for a closer look.

What if it might be termites or something dangerous?

The tool never gives an all-clear. If a photo looks like termites, a dangerous spider or another urgent problem, it tells you to leave it alone and book a licensed inspection straight away, because a photo cannot rule those in or out.
